Here are some activities you will be expected to perform:
- Designing, preparing and facilitating collaborative and user-centric processes, such as citizen deliberation processes; training courses on collective intelligence, creativity in politics and participatory democracy; hackathons; creativity workshops…
- Managing projects and collaborative processes: Coordinating the players involved, liaising with clients; running evaluations; writing reports and producing other required deliverables.
- Actively engaging in our business development efforts, in particular by: Monitoring and responding to public tenders related to different types of public governance challenges; adding to our list of prospects and canvassing for new customers; developing our professional network and forging new partnerships; promoting Dreamocracy and its projects through our website, the media, and social networks.
- Constantly learning and sharing new skills: As a consultancy dedicated to applying the scientific principles of creativity and collective intelligence in the public sphere, it is essential for each one of us to actively engage in continuous training and stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in our field. And it is essential to be able to share those skills with colleagues and clients.
What we’re offering
- This position is Brussels-based, with the possibility of working remotely some days.
- 5 weeks of holidays / year.

- We’re looking for a team member who is principally dedicated to Dreamocracy and Smarter Together, i.e. we’re offering a full-time or near full-time position.
- Compensation will be on par with similar start-ups and vary depending on your level of experience.
What we’re looking for
- Someone with outstanding writing and speaking skills, in Dutch, with English and French a plus.
- The ability to speak in public with fluency and moderate events.
- Relevant experience (whether professional, academic, in the non-profit sector or other): participatory processes, design thinking, community organising…
- We’re open to a variety of academic backgrounds, but political science and/or management and/or communications are most welcome.
- A demonstrated interest in public affairs and matters related to democracy, collective intelligence, creativity, innovation in politics…
- Strong motivation!
